After the meeting, the two sides took a group photo. The MSU delegation visited the Faculty’s Structural Laboratory, Botanical Garden, Hemerocallis Base, Specimen Room, the laboratory of Associate Professor Liu Xiang in the Landscape Architecture and Horticulture program, and rail transit-related experimental and practical training facilities. At the Botanical Garden, the delegation walked along the garden paths and experienced the campus ecology and landscape firsthand. At the Hemerocallis Base, they focused on learning about Hemerocallis germplasm resource collection, new variety breeding, and application promotion. At the Specimen Room, they inspected plant specimens and other teaching and research resources and learned about specimen collection, production, preservation, and application. At Associate Professor Liu Xiang’s laboratory, they received introductions to research on medicinal plants such as Danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza), including germplasm resources, cultivation techniques, active ingredients, and development and utilization. At the rail transit-related experimental and practical training facilities, they learned about the university’s experimental platform development, industry-academia-research cooperation, and talent cultivation models in rail transit, civil engineering, and other fields. The delegation spoke highly of the Faculty’s educational features of integrating industry needs and emphasizing practical innovation.

This visit further enhanced mutual understanding between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for future practical cooperation in talent cultivation, research collaboration, and faculty-student exchange. Located in Shanghai, China’s leading economic city, SIT enjoys an excellent international environment and abundant industrial resources. The university adheres to application-oriented and technical talent cultivation and emphasizes the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise collaboration. The Faculty of Urban Construction and Ecological Technology has a Botanical Garden, Hemerocallis Base, Specimen Room, and multiple specialized laboratories, offering international students a diversified learning experience combining “classroom + laboratory + enterprise.” The Faculty sincerely welcomes more outstanding Thai students to study at SIT through summer short-term programs, dual-degree programs, and inter-university exchanges, to come to Shanghai, understand China, and open a new chapter in academic advancement and career development at Shanghai Institute of Technology.
